Peace Through Action AmeriCorps is Seeking Service Site Applications

Retreat Center Collaboration and Peace Through Action USA invite U.S. retreat centers to join as prospective AmeriCorps member service sites in Peace Through Action’s upcoming application for AmeriCorps funding.

RCC hosted a recent call about this opportunity. We were encouraged by the level of retreat center participation and the incisive questions and conversation generated. You may find the call recording here:

Peace Through Action has a current federal grant to plan Peace Through Action AmeriCorps. Peace Through Action is accepting applications from prospective service sites in the United States through Friday, December 8, 2023.

Go to the Peace Through Action AmeriCorps service sites webpage for the online application and instructions, a presentation and FAQ about this opportunity, and a schedule of orientation calls (if you were unable to attend the special RCC call). You may also contact us if you wish to chat about this opportunity.

Retreat Center Collaboration and Peace Through Action hope that several retreat centers will join Peace Through Action’s AmeriCorps application. This is an exciting opportunity for retreat centers to join the national service movement, extend their outreach to the communities they inhabit, and increase services to their guests. Peace Through Action AmeriCorps—our future national service corps for peace—will be incomplete if retreat centers are unrepresented.
