Poems of Gratitude and Resilience

For our Community Call in the week prior to Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day, a small group of RCC community members gathered to spend time together slowing down and turning inward.

Several folks brought poems to pass around — a way to share in the bounty of our collective wisdom.

We’re sharing these poems here as a window into our gentle time together, and sharing the Rethinking Thanksgiving Toolkit from Indigenous Solidarity Network that a participant brought to our call.

“When I was the Forest” excerpt from the poem by Meister Eckhart (c. 1260 - c. 1328)

More Poetry

In November of 2023, RCC hosted another call where community members came together to reflect on gratitude and resilience through poetry. Check out the blog post to see the poems participants shared.
