About Us

The Retreat Center Collaboration (RCC) is a vibrant coalition of over 350 retreat centers and retreat center leaders from across the United States and Canada. At a time of racial, climatic and health poly-crises, we are committed to the power of place and space, the interplay of inner and outer work, and contributing to the conditions for universal flourishing. A core strategy for the RCC has been building a robust sense of community among diverse retreat centers to move from a sense of isolation to a sense of powerful collaboration.

There has never been a more important time for retreat centers to support liberatory practices of rest, repair, and renewal. From our inception in 2018, with the support of the Fetzer Institute, the Kellogg Foundation and the Hemera Foundation, and with the fiscal sponsorship at Commonweal, we support diverse Retreat Centers in their transformative work in the world. Our programming in the last several years has included supporting racial healing retreats, land legacy programming, twice-monthly Community calls, an annual gathering for retreat centers, exploring resilience hub potential, and affinity groups (BIPOC, regional and interest-based).
